Beijing Luncheon with US Department of Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez
The US-China Business Council (USCBC) and the American Chamber of Commerce-China (AmCham) invite their members to attend a luncheon with US Department of Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez in Beijing on May 15, 2008. Gutierrez will be visiting Beijing to meet with his counterparts in the PRC government. During the luncheon, Gutierrez will update members on US-China trade and highlight the successes of the bilateral economic relationship.
Gutierrez is the US' 35th secretary of Commerce and a core member of President George W. Bush's economic team. The secretary has a strong record of encouraging China to open its economy further to American businesses and is a leading advocate of the US-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade and Strategic Economic Dialogue.
